Visitor Visa for Students

The Student Visitor category has been introduced for visitors who wish to take short courses of study of up to six months duration in the United Kingdom.

Condition to be Eligible:

To come to the United Kingdom as a Student visitor, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Student aim to leave the United Kingdom at the end of the visit.
• Student does not intend to undertake employment or any business in the United Kingdom.
• Student does not intend to study at a maintained school.
• Student has been accepted on a course of study which is to be provided by an organization that is included on the Register of Education and Training Providers.
• Student can maintain and accommodate themselves and their dependents.
• Student is not a minor.

Visitor Visa for General Tourist

A Visitor visa is purely to visit the country. This visa allows applicants to travel to the UK for up to six months. Applicants do not need to have friends or family in the UK in order to visit the country. The UK is extremely diverse in its landscape and people and has a wealth of culture, history and scenic beauty that can be discovered and explored. All applicants in this category must prove to the UK Immigration Authorities that they can financially maintain and accommodate themselves in the UK without recourse to public funding or working. They can show however that they have assistance from family members living in the UK.

Condition to be Eligible:

To qualify for a Tourist visa, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be visiting the UK for leisure. To qualify under a Visitor visa category there are basic requirements which must be met. Applicants show that they will be able to financially support themselves and meet the cost of their onward journey. They must not take up any paid or unpaid employment in the UK.

Visitor Visa for Spouse:

There are different criteria’s for different type of partners like Spouse, Fiancée or planned social partner and Unmarried. It is possible to apply for a specific Marriage Visitor visa which allows applicants to enter the UK to marry or enter into a Civil Partnership without seeking any further leave to remain. For example this visa would be perfect for applicants with a specific desire to get married in a romantic UK Location. Both parties to the marriage are required to leave the UK at the end of their visa.

Condition to be Eligible:

To qualify for a Marriage Visitor visa, the following requirements must be satisfied:-

• Applicants must have the intention to give notice of marriage or civil partnership, or marry or form a civil partnership, in the United Kingdom within the period for which entry is sought.
• Intend to leave the United Kingdom at the end of the period of the visit,
• Do not intend to engage in employment, business and studies, and
• Are able to maintain and accommodate themselves and any dependents.

Visitor Visa for Family

UK family members can sponsor the applicant by providing an invitation letter to confirm the relationship, purpose of the visit and also the support they will be providing in terms of financial assistance or accommodation. Applicants can travel to the UK for the specific purpose of visiting friends and family who live in the UK. Applicants in this category must prove to the UK Immigration Authorities that they can financially maintain and accommodate themselves in the UK with or without assistance from family members living in the UK but without resource to public funding or employment.

Applicants must only visit the UK for a maximum of six months, show that they will be able to financially support themselves (if necessary with the support of friends and family) and meet the cost of their onward journey. Visitor Visa for Business purpose

The United Kingdom has a flourishing business culture and the UK recognizes that individual business people may want to come to the UK for short periods. This may be to negotiate the terms of a contract with businesses in the UK, carry out market research or attend conferences.

Condition to be Eligible:

To qualify under a Business visitor visa category there are basic requirements which must be met. Applicants have to demonstrate that they intend to undertake business activities including:

Attending meetings or conferences, arranging deals, negotiating or signing trade agreement or contracts, undertaking fact-finding missions, checking details or goods, and conducting site visits and promotional activities. They must only visit the UK for a maximum of six months, show that they will be able to financially support themselves and meet the cost of their onward journey. They must not undertake any paid or unpaid employment in the UK.
